Poplar Point is ……..
Poplar Point is one of the last great urban waterfront redevelopment opportunities on the East Coast. The 110-acre site is being transferred to the District of Columbia from the federal government. Bounded by South Capitol Street , I-295 and the 11th Street Bridges, the site is largely unused, but contains some National Park Service and the US Park Police facilities.
Directions
They are in the Park Service "compound" off Anacostia Drive , in
between the South Capitol street bridge and the 11th street Bridge....turn
into our compound, the first building is large, concrete, with blue trim;
that's the Park Police building.  The next building is our Headquarters,
it's a brick-faced building , and the main entrance is NOT on the street
side, but on the side of the building that faces the Helicopter
facility....
You should wear long pants and shoes you don’t mind getting dirty.
Please rsvp if you plan to attend to brendarichardson7@yahoo.com.
Thank you.
