Your Commissioner, William R. Ellis
William R. Ellis is a highly visible, up and coming, young Democrat in the Ward 8 community. Born in Washington DC, William has been very influential in his community, serving as President of his Condo Association, running SAT programs at the South East Tennis and Learning Center, as well as a Math Tutoring Program at Ballou Senior High School. William is a member of the Ward 8 Democrats as well as a member of the Executive Board of the National Society of Black Engineers DC Chapter, He is actively involved at his ANC and PSA monthly meetings, where he always puts our community first.
There is no success without sacrifice, and to whom much is given, much is asked. We must invest in the success of our children, our community and ourselves. Given the opportunity to serve as Ward 8 ANC 8C01 William believes that WE can make a difference in our community. Our Future depends on US!
Advisory Neighborhood Commission 8C Meetings
Are held the FIRST Wednesday of every month from 6:30 pm-8:30 pm at the UPO Petey Greene Center located at 2907 Martin Luther King Ave SE

Occurs the LAST Wednesday of every month from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at St. John CME Church, 2801 Stanton Road SE.
Every resident lives in a Police Service Area (PSA), and every PSA has a team of police officers and officials assigned to it. Residents should get to know their PSA team members and learn how to work with them to fight crime and disorder in their neighborhoods.
